Alyxandra Schoonover, Vice President & Director of Purchasing of Schoonover Industries, joined the company in 1991. She has over 30 years of experience in the business community, with 20 years as a business owner. For 10 years, Alyx owned and operated a communications company, including warehousing and two retail outlets. Drawing on her strong background in Administrative Services, she monitors the organizational quality and accountability of all company systems with special attention to Quality Assurance within the company. Alyx currently has resumed the duties of purchasing for Schoonover Industries, a position that she held previously for many years in the company history.
Alyx has participated in the U.S. Government’s program on business-to-business venture with foreign countries, traveling to Hong Kong China and England to participate in world conferences in those countries. She is a member of the Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce, and has served on many boards, including the Center for Individual and Family Services and the Domestic Violence Board, of which she is a past Secretary. Alyx has been a member of the Business & Professional Women, Altrusa, and Exchange Clubs of Mansfield and earned her private pilot license.
Alyx moved to the Mansfield and Ashland area from near Lima, Ohio. She has two grown children and six grandchildren. Along with her husband, Robert, she enjoys staying current in business technology, traveling, reading, being outdoors and spending time with their children and grandchildren.
